What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it — written to actually be read, not just filed away.
Unbox India is a travel curation venture operated by DocNex Healthcare LLP, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), DocNex Healthcare LLP is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data collected through this website.

We don't ask for anything we don't need. There's no account system, no password, no tracking pixel farm — just what's needed to plan and confirm your trip.

If you share a testimonial with us — written, photo, or video — we only publish it on the website with your knowledge and consent at the time you provide it. You can ask us to remove a published testimonial at any time by contacting us (see section 11).
Photos and videos of hotels, homestays and destinations shown on the site are taken by our own team during property visits, not sourced from guests, unless separately agreed.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.
Enquiry and booking data is stored in a secured database on our hosting infrastructure. Photos and videos are stored with Backblaze B2 cloud storage. We retain enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and, for confirmed bookings, for the period required for accounting and legal record-keeping — typically up to 7 years, in line with standard business record requirements in India.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages get viewed, which routes attract the most interest, and how people navigate before enquiring. This helps us improve the site and plan better routes.
This only happens if you say yes. When you first visit, you'll see a banner asking for your consent. If you decline, no tracking script loads at all — not partially, not anonymised, nothing. If you accept, Google Analytics collects standard, non-identifying usage data (pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device type) — not your name, email, or anything you typed into a form.

School trips booked through Unbox India are arranged through the school and a responsible adult (teacher/administrator) — we do not collect personal data directly from minors. If you're a parent or school representative with a concern about a student's data in connection with a booking, please contact us.

Under the DPDP Act, businesses handling personal data are expected to designate a grievance officer for data-related complaints. Confirm internally who holds this role at DocNex and list them here by name before this policy is treated as final.
This policy may be updated as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
