01 Acceptance of these terms
By submitting an enquiry, making a booking, or using this website, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you're booking on behalf of a group — a school, college, family or set of friends — you're confirming you have the authority to accept these terms for everyone in that group, and it's your responsibility to make sure they're aware of them.
02 Who you're booking with
Unbox India is operated by DocNex Healthcare LLP, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. All bookings made through this website or through direct communication with our team are with DocNex Healthcare LLP, trading as Unbox India.
03 Enquiries, quotes & bookings
Submitting an enquiry — whether through the form on this site or through Rini, our chat assistant — does not confirm a booking. It starts a conversation. A booking is only confirmed once:
- We've sent you a written quote with the final price, inclusions and dates
- You've accepted that quote and paid the advance (or full amount, or first instalment if using the EMI option)
Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued, since pricing depends on hotel and transport availability that can change. Prices shown anywhere on this website (including any example figures) are indicative starting points, not final prices — your actual quote depends on group size, season, and stay category.
04 Payment terms
Payment can be made in full at booking, or split into instalments where eligible — see our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full instalment terms, missed-payment consequences, and how refunds are calculated.
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed for international bookings, where we can quote in USD, EUR or GBP on request.
05 Your responsibilities as a traveller
- Carry valid government-issued photo ID for every traveller, matching the names provided at booking
- International visitors are responsible for their own valid visa, passport and any entry requirements — we can help with documentation support, but the application itself is yours to complete
- We strongly recommend independent travel insurance for all trips, particularly hill and forest routes
- Let us know in advance about any medical conditions, mobility needs, or dietary requirements that could affect the itinerary
- For school and college group bookings, the group leader/teacher-in-charge is responsible for student conduct, headcount confirmation at each stop, and communicating trip details to parents/guardians
06 Itinerary changes
Itineraries are planned in good faith based on conditions at the time of booking. Occasionally we may need to alter a stop, timing, or stay due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or circumstances at a partner property. Where possible we'll notify you in advance; where a change happens during the trip, our on-ground coordinator will keep you informed and offer the closest reasonable alternative.
07 Hotels, homestays & transport partners
The hotels, homestays and transport providers on our routes are independent businesses, not employees or branches of DocNex Healthcare LLP. We select and personally verify each one before including them on a route, and we act as your point of contact if something goes wrong — but the service itself (the room, the vehicle, the driver) is provided by that third party under their own terms of service.
08 Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care in planning and coordinating your trip, and in selecting the partners we work with. However, Unbox India is not liable for loss, injury, delay, or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control — including weather, natural events, third-party negligence, or a traveller's own actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
09 Rini, our chat assistant
Rini can answer questions and suggest routes based on what you tell her, but anything she says is guidance, not a confirmed quote or booking. Final pricing, availability and itinerary details are only confirmed in writing by our team, as described in section 3.
10 Website content & intellectual property
Photos, videos, written content, itineraries and branding on this website belong to DocNex Healthcare LLP or are used with permission (in the case of customer-submitted testimonials — see our Privacy Policy). You're welcome to share links to this site, but reproducing our content, photos or itineraries elsewhere without permission isn't allowed.
11 Conduct on trips
We expect all travellers to behave respectfully toward guides, hosts, local communities and fellow travellers. We reserve the right to remove a traveller from a trip without refund in cases of serious misconduct, illegal activity, or behaviour that endangers others — this is a last resort, not a first response.
12 Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from a booking will first be addressed through direct discussion with our team — most issues are resolved this way. Where that isn't possible, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services evolve. The version in effect on the date you complete a booking applies to that booking — material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
